Feel Design celebrates tenth anniversary with 400th website
A North Yorkshire-based web and design agency is marking two significant milestones this month.
For not only is Feel Design, which is located in the village of Goldsborough near Knaresborough, celebrating its tenth anniversary, it has just been commissioned to create its 400th website.
The company, started by graphic designer James Blundell and his wife Carleen, lists Newby Hall, Cundall Manor School, the Archbishop of York, Calvert Carpets and BuySell-MyTickets amongst its clients.
In addition to working for clients based in the UK, James’s services have been called upon from individuals and firms located in Spain and Russia to create multi-language websites.
James, a former teacher and college lecturer with a background in design going back to the 1980s, said:
When we started the business in 2000, one of our very first clients was online ticket company, Club Sports.
I’m delighted to say that they, plus many others including Snow Home, The Royal Artillery Museum and DC Thomson Publishing, are still with us.
The last two years have been our busiest to date and we have just signed off our 70th website of the year, which was for Ashville College’s old pupil organisation.
Over the last decade website development has changed beyond all recognition. Flash sites have given way to content managed systems.
Technological advances mean that websites are becoming simpler to navigate and update whilst at the same time delivering so much more and costing less. Animation, 3D modeling and e-commerce are part and parcel of the services we offer to clients on a daily basis.
We are now looking forward to the next decade and the challenges that will no doubt go with it. Our aim is to keep up with all the latest developments and ensure that we offer our clients value for money websites that drive customers their way.
